Controls / Servo Engineer – Entry Level

Folio Photonics is developing advanced optical storage systems that require extremely precise positioning and tracking of optical components.

We are seeking an entry-level engineer to help design and implement precision control systems for optical tracking and positioning.

This role involves control theory, actuator systems, and real-time firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Design control algorithms for precision positioning systems
• Model dynamic systems and mechanical actuators
• Implement and test control loops in embedded systems
• Analyze vibration, disturbances, and system stability
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, optics, and firmware engineers

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• Coursework in:
• Control systems

• Dynamic systems

• Robotics

• Mechatronics
