Electrical Engineer – Entry Level (Embedded / FPGA)

Folio Photonics is developing a new generation of optical storage systems combining advanced optics, electronics, and signal processing.

We are seeking an entry-level electrical engineer to assist with the design and development of embedded and FPGA-based systems used to control and process data within the optical drive.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded systems and FPGA-based hardware
• Assist with hardware bring-up and system integration
• Implement digital interfaces and control systems
• Support development of high-speed electronics and data paths
• Collaborate with signal processing and firmware teams

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Coursework in:
• digital systems

• embedded systems

• FPGA design

• computer architecture

Preferred Skills

• Verilog or VHDL
• C/C++ programming
• embedded Linux
• hardware debugging
